Project Overview

Ice Breaker is an interesting and fresh take on the traditional dating apps. Functioning as a hybrid app, it is efficient in connecting users based on their interests and location proximity specifically. Our task was aimed at designing the app by implementing smart search mechanisms to aid users to meet their perfect match.

Being a hybrid app, the challenge that popped out for us was to provide a strategic and interactive design with an overall simulating visual language and access to native features that will further help distinguish Ice Breaker in the crowded space of dating apps.

Instead of the cumbersome long “form-filling” registrations, Ice Breaker enables users to directly sign up by using their Facebook accounts itself.

Users can customize their search by providing their interests, helping them discover and meet the right set of like-minded individuals with mutual interests within their proximity.

With features like One-to-One Chat and Group Chat, users are provided with the facilities to engage with the matched ones on an individual or group basis.

By enabling Geo Locations settings, users can discover the events being held nearby and meet up with the matched users.

Users can access more fields of interests by subscribing to the premium package,enabling them to connect and meet more interesting individuals at a minimum cost.
