To solve this, our client wanted to build a platform that delivers food without compromising its taste and temperature. About the Client

Chicago has some of the best and most diverse restaurants in the US. Our client set up a hot food delivery service that delivers the choicest dishes from any restaurant in Chicago city to high density suburban neighborhoods that are out of range for other food delivery services. They wanted to cater to specific needs in the market, i.e., time sensitive cuisine (premium bakery goods, specialty ethnic dishes, artisanal desserts), underserved by major delivery platforms due to distance and preparation constraints.

Business Challenge

The founders operated via manual phone orders, ad hoc courier hires, and social media promotions. While local demand was growing, operational inefficiencies limited scalability. The primary challenges were:

Strict Delivery Windows: Many menu items (e.g., soufflés, fresh breads) degraded in quality if not consumed within 30–45 minutes of preparation.
